Windows XP SP2/3 Firewall Configuration (4.x, 5.x)
If you are using Windows XP SP2 or SP3, you should configure the Windows Firewall:
- to ensure a maximum security level;
- to prevent useless limitations on administration.
LOGINventory uses the following methods for inventory:
- Ping (ICMP)
- Remote Registry based on File and Print Services
- WMI based on RPC (optional)
- SNMP (optional)
All these methods are suppressed by the default settings of the Windows Firewall.
