LOGINventory 5.9: Now even with an inventory of VMware ESX/ESXi

The latest update of the inventory software LOGINventory provides a completely revised data acquisition via SNMP. It now allows the inventory of VMware ESX Server 4.1 and 5.x, additionally even Mac and Linux operating systems as well as other network devices benefit from these improvements.

All new features at a glance:

• Inventory of VMware ESX server hardware and software via SNMP as well as an enumeration of important characteristics from currently configured VMs such as virtual RAM size, virtual CPU, status (running, stopped, starting,…) etc.
  This works even for the free ESXi variant with our guideline for ESXi SNMP activation and configuration
• Asset inventory in non-trusted domains and in workgroups if running on Windows Vista and later (as it was always possible for Windows XP / Server 2003)
• Determination of Oracle Database resp. Oracle Client software packages on Windows
• and many minor improvements
