• All prices remain constant.
• All customers now ordering LOGINventory v4 will get a v5 license.
• All Beta and RC versions will work also with a v4 license - the v5 RTM needs a v5 license (upgrade).
• For all customers without SUSL (Software Upgrade Subscription) this upgrade will be priced at 60% of the full version's list price - including 12 months of SUSL.
• If you - caused by the new licensing model - need additional licenses after the upgrade, you won't have to pay for these.

After an intensive development cycle LOGINventory5 now offers many new features and functions. The revised version of the entire LOGINventory core provides you with even faster and more effective features. The new modularity ensures shorter development cycles and better future enhancements with greater functionalities in sync with our customers' needs.

This programmatic reorientation claimed a large portion of our development time.

In comparison with previous versions, LOGINventory5 integrates the following important innovations:

New licensing model

• Simplified licensing per asset: no more diversification of Computers and Devices.
• Only successfully inventoried assets will be inserted into the data base and consume a license.
• Assets within the LOGINventory Recycle Bin will no longer need a license.

MMC application

• Clearly represented network by new Domain Node.
• The detection of computers where certain software packages are not installed, is now implemented as a standard functionality.
• Simultaneous editing of Manual Properties and Journal Entries for multiple assets and even in query results.
• The new graphical LOGINventory Dashboard in the LOGINventory 5 node gives a quick overview of inventory data and latest entries in the new event log node.
• Choose between the traditional list view and the new group view.
• Event log node informs about latest events within the entire program package.
• The filter bar allows filtering of value groups within result lists.
• Settings: This node is now integrated into the property page of the LOGINventory5 root node.
• Access Control: Analyse nodes can be assigned to different users or user groups as ‘Root Node’ for all queries. This enables i.e. a branch site to gain exclusive access to only its own inventory data.
• New Software License Management allows grouping of software packages as well as administration of license acquisition and disposal along with the associated documents.

Analyses

• Hierarchical filters. Filter conditions from Analyse Nodes will be passed on to sub-nodes.
• Queries on Journal entries are possible now, too.
• Analyse Nodes can be displayed with default node types like Assets, Hardware, Software, etc.
• The new Query designer a flexible and unrestricted configuration of query conditions.

LOGINquiry

• Accelerated query performance

• Integrated bug reporting allows the detection and tracing of scan errors.

Enhanced inventory

• SNMP: Print-MIB for network printers
• SNMP: Entity-MIB for several switches and routers
• Windows: Enumeration of local groups like administrators etc.
