LOGINventory5 RC2 available
Munich, Germany – November 9th, 2009 – Only a few weeks after making Beta 3 public available, software developer Schmidt's LOGIN now already presents Release Candidate 2 of hardware and software inventory tool LOGINventory5. Compared to its Beta versions it is now possible to enumerate current remote desktop users for the scan of Windows computers, to save widths and sequences of columns in the Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Moreover, LOGINventory now offers data base migrations from former versions to v5.

LOGINventory Upgrade Policy
- All customers now ordering LOGINventory4 will get a v5 license (since availability of Public Beta3).
- All v5 Betas and RC versions are working even with a v4 license - the v5 RTM needs a v5 license (upgrade).
- For all customers without SUSL (Software Upgrade Subscription License) the upgrade to v5 will be priced at 60% of the full version's list price - including 12 months of SUSL.
- If you - caused by the new licensing model - would need additional licenses after the upgrade, you won't have to pay for it.
- All prices remain constant.

Drive Snapshot v1.39
Since July 15th, 2008 the latest Drive Snapshot release is available: v1.39.
Compared to the last release, the following improvements have been made :
- Supports Restore into Virtual Machines (VMWare/Virtual Server)
- Mounted snapshots are writeable (data are buffered in RAM) - the user can make a new snapshot of the virtual disk
- Enhanced ability to exclude files and folders ( --exclude:\*.MP3 )
- Defective images can be repaired - within certain limits
- Allows installation of additional (disk) drivers in WinPE/BartPE
- Fixes/tolerates some bugs in Vista/2008 X64
